One of our all-time favorite cities in the world is London. Almost every tourist will find something to occupy them while in town because to its world-class art and cultural scene (which includes free museums, which is why we are here), culinary scene (the food markets are our favorite thing in London), and rich and fascinating history.
Before we met, each of us had visited London several times. A few years ago, we decided to travel back for a two-week visit and fell in love with the city once more.
We had huge intentions to leave the city for a few day trips during our vacation a few years ago, which lasted two full weeks, because there is so much to see, do, eat, and drink. We reasoned that we would have plenty of time.

As it happens, we never ventured outside of the city and had to postpone those day trips until our subsequent trip since there was just too much to do in London. We also never got bored or ran out of things to do.
I had a similar situation when I (Matt here) returned in November 2024 for ten more days. I had intended to go on two or three-day trips, but I was unable to find the time to squeeze even one in (we did make it out to Oxford, and it was beautiful!).
Two things will become apparent to you as soon as you begin organizing your vacation to London.
